Why Ladies ?

After leaving the U.S. Military, our founder provided close protection to diplomats and senior executives around the world. He quickly learned that women have unique advantages when it comes to security services.

Women have protective instincts

Throughout history, remarkable women have led armies, ruled countries, and inspired future generations. While these were exceptional cases, women have always been the guardians of life and property. While the stories of exceptional lady warriors inspire us, we look to emulate the spirit of the ultimate protector and preserver of life – the mother. Highly attuned to threats and danger, the mother is intuitive, observant, and fiercely protective.

We all have strong women in our lives that prove that females are more than capable of protecting our community. These are our Lady Askaris.

Women can easily blend in

Female close protection officers can more easily blend into certain environments because they are assumed to be personal assistants or secretaries, whereas male close protection officers often stand out. Additionally, some high-profile women may feel uncomfortable with male close protection officers at their side for extended periods of time. When using the bathroom, for example, it may be inappropriate for a male to accompany a female customer. On the other hand, the customer may be more comfortable with a female bodyguard accompanying her to the bathroom. Female close protection officers may also be preferred to protect the wives and children of high-profile men.

Women have a unique perspective

Women have unique insights and instincts that contribute to the security industry. Inviting women to sit at the decision-making table leads to more diverse security solutions for our customers. At Lady Askari, we capitalize on women’s strengths – such as customer service, intuition, emotional intelligence, empathy, innate leadership skills, caregiving, and collaboration – to disprove the stereotypes against them.
